Macro chains here come from player guides (Community source) and are only shown when at least two guides agree. Skill names match the official global skill list. Checked against Global patch Oct 7, 2026.

How to set up a macro
- Bind a macro key first: it has no key by default. Settings > Key Settings > General > Gameplay > Macro. (GamesFuze: macro setup guide, games.gg: skills, items and macros, Allthings.how: macros and delay, Mein-MMO: macros for all classes)
- Open the Skill window (K), press Macro at the top right and add a macro. (GamesFuze: macro setup guide, games.gg: skills, items and macros, Allthings.how: macros and delay, Mein-MMO: macros for all classes)
- Each entry points at a hotbar slot, not a skill. Change the skill in that slot and the macro follows it. (games.gg: skills, items and macros, Allthings.how: macros and delay)
- Leave the delay at the default 10 ms. If skills get skipped on a high ping, raise it to about 40-50 ms. (GamesFuze: macro setup guide, games.gg: skills, items and macros, Allthings.how: macros and delay)
- In combat, hold the key. A single tap fires only the first entry, and pressing a skill yourself takes over from the macro. (games.gg: skills, items and macros, Allthings.how: macros and delay)
- Try the macro on a training dummy before a dungeon. (games.gg: skills, items and macros, Allthings.how: macros and delay)
What to put in, what to leave out
- Put repeatable damage skills in the macro. A macro holds up to 20 entries, but short chains of 2 to 4 skills are easier to keep working. (games.gg: skills, items and macros, Allthings.how: macros and delay)
- Keep the basic attack out of the macro: hold left click (basic attack) together with the macro key. (Allthings.how: macros and delay, Mein-MMO: macros for all classes)
- Keep out toggles (a second press turns them off), charged skills (the macro fires them uncharged), gap closers, defensive skills and long-cooldown bursts. (GamesFuze: macro setup guide, Allthings.how: macros and delay, Mein-MMO: macros for all classes)
- Use only the in-game macro. Third-party macro tools and AFK automation break the terms of service. (GamesFuze: macro setup guide, games.gg: skills, items and macros, Allthings.how: macros and delay)
Where guides disagree
- Delay: most guides start at 10 ms (one says an update lowered it from 50 ms); suggestions for high ping range from about 40 ms to 50 ms.
- Order: most guides treat a macro as a fixed order; one class guide (ExpCarry) says the client repeats the inputs and does not guarantee the order, so a skill on cooldown is simply skipped.
- Length: one guide snippet claims 4 skills per macro; we could not open that page, and two guides that we could read say 20 entries.
