Krao Cave and Draupnir gained Hard difficulty in the October 20 PDT / October 21 CEST Global update. Choose the dungeon and difficulty in your Expedition entry screen before spending resources; meeting the entry requirement is not a guarantee that your group will clear it.
| Check | Official rule |
|---|---|
| Dungeons | Krao Cave and Draupnir |
| Required item level | 2,600 |
| Boss Frenzy | Four-minute timer |
| Revives | Three per player |
These are rules from the official Global patch notes, read October 25, 2026. They do not describe every Expedition, Korean difficulty setting or boss attack. This guide is based on published rules; we have not completed a live Hard-mode run.
Completing seasonal dungeon missions as well? Check the Trick or Treat mission and coin limits before choosing which activities to run.
Before you enter
- Check the character’s item level against 2,600. Combat power and item level are different readings; use the gear score guide if you are looking at the wrong number.
- If you are below entry level, compare missing slots and enchant headroom in the next-upgrade checker. Its dated item sample does not simulate your damage or guarantee a clear.
- Agree on healing, survival and damage responsibilities. The four-minute Frenzy timer makes a surviving but very slow attempt different from a successful clear; the patch does not publish a minimum DPS target.
- Inspect the reward selection before confirming it. A selectable guaranteed reward and an additional chance drop are different outcomes.
What changes in the rewards?
The update adds a chance at a Philosopher’s Stone: Revelation (Bound) and also makes that stone a selectable guaranteed reward. It lists Ariel Fragments, a chance at an Expedition Hero Artwork, and more Kina than Normal. No drop probability or exact Kina amount is given in the note.
Hard Krao Cave and Draupnir can supply the Unique crafting materials Wrathful Mind, Wrathful Will and Wrathful Ego. New Hard achievements can grant Unique skins; an artwork collection achievement is also added. Check the in-game achievement requirements rather than assuming one completion unlocks every reward.
Spend Ariel Fragments on the right recipe
| Input | Output | Published limit and menu |
|---|---|---|
| 100 Ariel Fragments | One Daevanion Crystal: Ariel (Bound) | Up to 30 conversions per character; Substance Morph → Special → Daevanion |
| One Ariel Fragment | Five Enhance Stones | No conversion limit; Substance Morph → Special → Consumables |
The rewarded fragment varies by dungeon. The note also says the obtainable crystal amount is limited for each dungeon, so compare the exact recipe shown for your fragment before converting. It does not publish a reset period for the 30-conversion cap. Ariel crystals unlock points on the new Ariel Daevanion board; this is separate from the older boards in our launch board guide.
Is this Ludra Hard mode?
No. The October update above concerns two Expeditions. The official Ludra announcement, read October 25, schedules Ludra’s return for November 4, with item level 2,800 for Normal and 3,000 for Hard. Those future raid requirements must not be substituted for today’s 2,600 Expedition entry requirement.
Plan your class build or check the Cleric PvP setup notes if you are changing activities rather than preparing for an Expedition.
